I took my younger daughter for a job interview today and because it was in a sbopping centre, I felt obliged to look around while I waited for her. This wouldn't usually prove a problem for me, as I would happily mooch around the clothes and bookshops for hours. Today, however, I am participating in No Spend November. Today, I almost cracked. I mean, it is Christmas season and the windows displays are full of festive cheer and beautiful dresses...
Instead of purchasing though, I took a few nifty photos of the items I had fallen in love with and things I am inspired to buy others. I would usually have started my Christmas shopping last month but I now have to wait until 1st December - gulp! That date seems an ion away.
I wonder if I will go back to buy the shoes, dress and socks I took pictures of or whether I'll see things I like even more when December comes. In the past, I have bought so many presents because I started so early, so I'm smugly hoping that this year, I won't overdo it.
