The past two nights, my husband and I could not get to sleep. We tossed and turned. I dreamed the weirdest things but in a wide awake, with your eyes closed way We woke up groggy and cranky. I was even tearful.
Today, I drove to Brighton for a night away with my daughter and her best friend. I'm on my third coffee and so finally am awake now Their cheerful giggling and singing in the car also kept me going and lifted my spirits.
It was the most beautiful day here in Brighton. The sky was blue and filled with screaming sea gulls, bringing your senses to life. I took my camera for a walk along the pier and took lots of photos of the colourful surroundings. This evening's sunset was sensational and everyone around me were taking pictures too and just looking at the old burnt down pier in awe, with the raspberry ripple clouds behind it.
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday, I felt like a walking zombie but today I feel alive and envigorated by the sea air and buzz of people around me. My daughter and her friend are off discovering Brighton for themselves and hoping to study at university here one day.
Glad your trip with the girls to Brighton was a great success. Look forward to your next blog! Xx
