Love of Essential Oils

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

February is the month for love and this is for all types of love: Love for yourself Love for your partner Love for your family Love for your friends Love for your society Love for the universe There are so many essential oils that can enrich this love - here are a few and what they do: Love for yourself: Frankicense has been used throughout history to open up your mind and help to let go. It is used in churches and cathedrals as incense, being thought of as a spiritual oil. If you are being too hard on yourself and need to release yourself from fear or achieve self-forgiveness, this oil will set you free. It's intoxicating scent will float your insecurites away and comfort you, making you love yourself. Love for your partner: Jasmine and Ylang Ylang are exotic and sensuous essential oils which can arouse the senses and bring deeper connection between lovers, giving a feeling of ecstasy. Used often in perfumes and aftershave, these can also be used in massage for couples and healing the heart, mind and emotions. Love for your family: Rose Otto is the ultimate maternal essential oil, making those who use it feel comforted and looked after. It is such a delicate scent which makes you feel enveloped in unconditional love. A gentle, restorative massage using this oil can benefit a person and their soul. Love for your friends: Bergamot Friendship can give a person what Bergamot essential oil can. It can bring someone from their despair, can uplift and make you feel care-free again. Sweet Orange has the power to give joy and is also used to combat winter blues. Love for your society: Lemon and Grapefruit essential oils have been used in Japan's large offices to encourage employees to work harder and enjoy a relaxing environment. Diffusing these oils in various places such as schools and universities can aid students into settling in, with studying and coming together as one in society. Love for the universe: Roman Chamomile is the ultimate essential oil for peace. What a better place the world would be, if we all inhaled more of this delightful scent. It rids people of anger, perfectionism and tension. Imagine that deep, sleepy feeling and drifting away from all cares and worries. Escape from life for a while and at the end of the day, put ten drops into a hot bath, swish around to disperse the oils, before delving in. Have a few candles burning, the light switched off and you can submerge in the water and join it.
