Colour Coded

I recently read the fascinating book by Thomas Erikson, 'Surrounded by Idiots', which was an eye-opener and I am so pleased I discovered it, as I now better understand myself and those around me.

Doing 'the test', you decide which of the characteristics of the four main colours you come under and it seems so obvious which one you are. It also becomes clear which colour those closest to you are too.

Realising I am a Yellow, with a dash of Green, I could barely peek through my fingers at the description of my personality traits and personality. It can be a bit cringey seeing in black and white what you are like and how transparent you are.

My husband and older daughter are clearly Red/Blue characters who like to be in charge and need to know the absolute detail of everything, explaining their success recently in sorting out the food cupboard and labelling everything within an inch of it's life. My younger daughter is so obviously a Green, meaning she lives more in her inner world and is a calming influence to be around.

I urge you to read this insightful tool to help show you the properties of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow personality types. It has helped me get my head around how other people behave and how differently we think. It can also keep a check on your own behaviour too and how we all relate to one another.
